Supporting Your Core Group

As the world economy is in transition and almost all of us are going through some tough times, now is the time to really nurture and support our core group of associations with others. Keeping and trying to improve these links are a good use of time, builds on the future, and keeps us occupied instead of thinking how bad things are now.

Think of where you are going, not where you are!  For me I am trying to promote and show support for the people and their services who are close to me.  Anything I can do to help this main group of family, friends and business associates, even in small ways such as tweeting, promoting web pages, facebook posts, skype and telephone calls to show support for them, helps re-build confidence in the future.

Things will improve and when they do try to be ready for that, and then move ahead stronger than before.  This core group is a big part of who we are, where we came from, and, where we are going.  Even a telephone call or e-mail with some encouraging words is a start.  Our current situation is not good, but with a positive attitude and showing consideration for others who are in the same or worse position as yourself, we at least begin to understand and help bring on change for the better.

Wave Thoughts

Here are a few thoughts after trying Google Wave for a few weeks. . .

Wave will be an incredible tool when enough people are using it. To me it is more of what the internet should be- the ability to link people and places together in real time using any and all tools in one place as needs arise on the fly such as SMS, e-mail, voice and video conferencing, collaboration on documents and ideas, virtual meetings, and more.

Right now Wave is limited to a scattered bunch of groups or individuals.  Public Waves at present are a mess and a bad example of what Wave can do.  Until everyone is using Wave it will best serve groups and companies where collaboration on a daily basis is already needed and used.

Wave is also very time and environmentally friendly as any and all links and interchange of information can now be done real time eliminating the need for countless revisions.  No more sending multiple e-mails, faxes, and memos, and making revisions to multiple people for input and approvals.  Just do all that real time from one Wave!

Wave Filmmakers

I have started a Public Google Wave for Filmmakers!  The purpose of the Wave is to connect filmmakers using Google Wave as it is very difficult right now to find other people on Wave without their email address.

You can find the Wave by going to one of the new directories of Public Waves at: http://www.waverz.com/groups#top

Scroll down to the keyword Film and click on Film_Wave to join the Wave and add your contact information.

If you would rather not join the public wave right now, click on Follow at the top of your INBOX. You will now be following this PUBLIC LOBBY WAVE without being listed.  If you do not have Google Wave yet, please follow me on Twitter- @Wave_Filmmakers to keep up with what is going on with Wave and Film.

Thank you for visiting, joining and helping make Wave a reality for Filmmakers!!!
